A classic design from yesteryear, this gypsy ring is made from 18ct yellow gold, crafted into a smooth tactile tapered band and flush set with an old cut diamond.  A style favoured by both men and women, where the focus is on the luxury metal and the uniqueness of the old cut diamond.  Suitable for any finger or occasion, this is a lovely antique ring to own.

The diamond is an European or Transitional Old Cut Diamond, originally mined and cut pre-1930.   This cut looks closer to the modern brilliant, than its predecessor Old Cuts from the Victorian era, and has the cullet preserved.  It would have been shaped and faceted without the modern technology the diamond industry relies on today, making an old cut diamond something to admire.

Hand crafted from luxurious 18ct yellow gold the shank measures 2.7mm at the back increasing to 7.5mm at the front. The ring is currently a size N and is suitable for resizing in most circumstances. The ring has a lovely clear hallmark, which means we can date it to the Chester assay office for 1915.  Weight: 5g
