This exquisite antique brooch is glamourous yet understated, a design showing the progression away from the floral motifs of the Victorian and Edwardian period towards the modernity and clean lines of the Art Deco period.

The antique old-cut diamonds were originally mined and cut pre-1930 would have been shaped and faceted without the modern technology the diamond industry relies on today, making an old cut diamond something to admire.

Measuring 77mm x 3.5mm, the brooch fastens with a sturdy pin, which fits into the clasp barrel by lifting the flat-end pin.  There is no hallmark on this piece which is expected for jewellery from this age, but we have tested the metal and our team of goldsmiths and valuers agree that it is 18 carat gold

This vintage brooch is part of our pre-owned collection and has been lightly cleaned to maintain the patina and fully checked and tested so you can buy with confidence from Gold Arts.
