The Cartier Santos WSSA0030 is a modern interpretation of one of the most historically important wristwatches ever created. First designed in 1904 for aviation pioneer Alberto Santos-Dumont, the Santos is recognized as one of the very first purpose-built wristwatches, blending innovation, elegance, and pioneering spirit. This 2023 reference carries forward that legacy with updated proportions, contemporary finishing, and Cartier’s latest in-house movement.
Presented in next-to-new condition and still partially stickered, this watch comes as a full collector’s set with original box and papers. The 38.9mm stainless steel case houses a striking sunburst blue dial with bold Roman numerals and Cartier’s signature blued sword hands. Its versatility is further enhanced by the included steel bracelet with SmartLink adjustment system as well as a navy blue Cartier calfskin strap with interchangeable folding clasp, allowing seamless transition between sport and dress wear.
Powered by the Cartier Calibre 1847 MC automatic movement, the Santos delivers modern reliability and precision while retaining its timeless Art Deco-inspired design. With 100m water resistance and sapphire crystal, it balances elegance with everyday practicality.
