The Rolex Explorer 6610 is one of the most important and collectible tool watches in Rolex’s storied history. Produced in the mid-1950s, the 6610 was the direct successor to the original Explorer 6150 and introduced a more refined, chronometer-rated automatic movement – the Calibre 1030. It marked Rolex’s transition from early rugged tool watches to the precision-engineered sports models that would define the brand’s reputation.

What makes this particular example especially desirable is its original black gilt dial, paired with a rare red depth rating — a detail that is exceptionally scarce and highly sought after by collectors.
