A vibrant green emerald is framed by a glittering halo of old round brilliant cut diamonds with a milgrain rub-over setting to give a lovely scalloped effect to the head of the ring. Three small diamonds adorn the shoulder of the ring on each side. The diamonds are antique old brilliant cut diamonds, originally mined and cut pre-1930. Old cuts have slightly different proportions to the modern brilliant cut, with a deeper crown and flat cullet. It would have been shaped and faceted without the modern technology the diamond industry relies on today, making an old cut diamond something to admire. Crafted from precious, durable platinum, the shank of the ring is 1mm wide and the head measures 11mm x 10mm. The ring is currently a size M, if you require an alternative size, please contact our store for advice. The ring is not hallmarked, which is common for antique gemstone rings. We have tested the metal to confirm that the metal is platinum. This ring is part of our pre-owned collection and has been professionally cleaned and polished to perfection and fully checked and tested so you can buy with confidence from Gold Arts.
