The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116520 is one of the most influential modern Daytona references, representing the first generation to feature Rolex’s fully in-house chronograph movement — the Calibre 4130. Launched in 2000, this reference quickly became a benchmark for reliability, precision and contemporary Daytona design.
This 2008 example features the classic and highly desirable black dial, complemented by applied 18ct white gold luminous baton hour markers for excellent visibility. The polished steel bezel and 40mm Oyster case create a clean, modern aesthetic that remains one of the most recognisable sports-chronograph designs in the world.
