Lalique Crystal Victoire Paperweight in clear satin crystal. This striking sculpture was originally designed by Rene Lalique in 1928 as part of 30 car mascots to adorn the vehicles of the day. Victoire is a story of peace, created to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the November 11th, 1918 armistice of World War I. The suggestion of speed and movement is evident in Victories beautiful face. The artistic combination of satin-finish, clear crystal and light bring Victoire to life.
